What is Ocooch Mountain Radio?

Ocooch Mountains are the centuries old name for the unglaciated territory of southwest Wisconsin, northeast Iowa, and southeast Minnesota. Once the home of several Native American tribes that christened the mountains and summer camped the deep and scenic valleys, the area is now commonly known as the Driftless Region and is home to hundreds of small farms, artists, and musicians. Ocooch Mountain Music promotes, manages, and produces artists. Ocooch Mountain Sessions are recorded live, in-studio, and on location in the Upper Mississippi River Valley. Ocooch Mountain Radio is new project and is any every where you go radio station.  Get a smart phone app in either Apple or Android stores and click Get and you are on your way.  No subscription costs, and the app will show you song playing.  The "Radio Station" originates from downtown LaCrosse and is maintained by a team of volunteers.  We play the deep cuts as well as the hits. Specializing in up-and-coming acts and classic cuts from 1960s through today – Americana, Indie Rock, World Beat and Rock. We play local and regional music of the Midwest U.S. in addition to our favorite acts from all over the country and world. 24 hours a day, all 50 states.  The library of songs the computer chooses from is over 40 days of music and we're adding to it every day. Ocooch Mountain Music has a lead role in organizing Mid West Music Fest, People Fest and Bonfire Fest; has producer credits for recordings by Mike Munson, Jaybone Bell, Jaybone Bell & Restless Light and The Latch Sessions, as part of Boats and Bluegrass in Winona, MN, and now Ocooch Mountain Radio.
