Edition #19 Follow
Molly Maher is veteran Twin Cities musician who was not on my radar until we stopped up to see the Heartland Live Anniversary show. We went to see favorites Erik Koskinen and Dusty Heart and were blown away by The Haymakers as well as Molly Maher. So when she did a pre-release of a scheduled June released, I picked up right away. Now it's Ocooch listeners benefit to get four choice cuts. Speaking of Erik ... he's part of this CD that has such a Los Lobos or Mark Knopfler groove. You'll want to hear or buy them all after you get this mood going. Check her out here: Molly Maher
Of course the playlist is influenced by our isolation. It includes my rediscovery of The Paperboys, who I fell in love with because it included Kendel Carson, who I've been following ever since. It includes rare cuts from Richard (Dickey) Betts my favorite Allman Brother, a new friend from isolation Nancy Rost, and finishes with hopeful song, "We're going to be ok"
Of course I slipped in some rare and favorite songs from Erik, Chuck Brodsky, Heather Waters, and the infamous Bonnie Raitt. While all the DBT shows start with a Dylan song or cover, how about a change up.... Dylan covering Paul Simon. I have no idea where this song came from, but it's fun.
As always... this playlist isn't a Spotify list, you need to come and listen. Old school on the new school internet radio. #AppointmentMusic
So if you want to listen Ocooch it's 24/7... and should be your companion.. just forget about that Spotify.. this one has smartphone available in Apple and Android stores. Or just stream on your computer at http://ocooch.creek.fm/shows
