DBT #172 Monday Morning Song - No Place I'd Rather Be

I just got done watching The King's Affection; and sure it's a tear jerker that ends happy:

With that in mind this great song by Ryan Holweger that seems to be in part a tribute to his time in Thailand seems an absolute perfect way to start the day.  I recently bought it on Bandcamp Friday. Here's how he described the global journey the song took:

Most of the lyrics for this song were written in a small room above a bar in Bangkok's Chinatown in 2019. The tune and choruses were written in Syracuse, New York, after the pandemic hit and we realized our return to Thailand wouldn't be happening anytime soon. I recorded the vocals and guitar while visiting Minneapolis, Minnesota during the summer of 2021, then sent the song to Frank in Frankfort, Germany, where he recorded the rest. Then I brought it along on our return to Thailand, where it was mixed by Matthew Fischer in Bangkok.

Before you listen, let's get you in the mood of Bangkok with Ryan's preview to Gunmetal Sky album

Here's you can listen to it on YouTube if you prefer:
