DBT #365 Beer Volume : TWO
365 beers on a wall, 365 days in a year, well get started. Here's a link to Volume One, and it's obvious what the subject matter is, BEER.
1) Mexican Beer - Bri Bagwell
Not exactly sure when I added Bri to my Discogs wantlist, but I ended up with her first album in a trade. This was the bonus track and one of my favorites... hey I don't mind a Mexican beer sometimes. She's good country, I think I'll buy more of her along the way.
2) Maybe the Beer - Chain Station
I walked away from Moccasin Creek Festival with one vinyl. The rookie album "Dancin' with the Law" from Chain Station, that was recently reissued on vinyl. You know I love rookie releases.
3) Beer in a Teacup - Grace Morrison
I bought this tasty song back on a Bandcamp Friday in March. Love it. I think she is on my radar because she toured with my friend Shanna in a Dress.
4) Beer, Beer, Beer - Marc Gunn
My favorite Celtic Renaissance perfomer; here's the song from his Brobdingnagian group.
5) One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer - John Lee Hooker
In that order please.
6) Six Pack of Beer and a Pack of Cigarettes - Erik Koskinen
Hard to imagine one of my all time favorite songs did not make Volume One, and perfect for the sixth song. How about for the video, let's the most recent time I heard Erik do it very raw and acoustic.
7) Warm Beer and Cold Women - Tom Waits
Well if that was stout and the women were cold from being out in the winter temps, then this might be perfect. Not sure if that's what Tom was imagining as just didn't fit in. Now really Tom would likely never just fit in, would he?
8) Blatz and Sauerkraut - The Happy Schnapps Combo
Wicked combination, yea hey off to the toilet, and makes me proud to be from Manitowoc.
9) Longneck Bottle - Garth Brooks
I bought at least one cd in my early life of Garth, but as I absorb collections; I now have five albums in the library.
10) Fancy Beer - Amadans
Barry and Sheri would sing this with Pigtown Fling, and brought it over to the Amadans.
11) Beer Drinker's Waltz - Tom T. Hall
Yes I like Beer was in Volume one.
12) Don't Screw it Up Again - Lucky Dog
Yikes... I made an error; my playlists on the computer didn't match the blog post. I added Garnet's Homemade Brew to Volume One, without importing it to the library. Well here's to hoping I don't screw it up again. (yes it was filmed at Pearl Street Brewery)
Here's your one click link to happiness. Belching is allowed between songs.
