DBT #419 Lookin for Something to do
Ok I had that thought... keep cleaning my son's vacated closet, create some unnecessary video about cats, or maybe start recording music again? Nope I decided I would take the same question to my digital library for a playlist but I would start at the bottom and work backward until I answered my question.
In complete transparency, I for some reason have a handful full of song pre-2013 when I think I moved from one computer to another and messed up my added dates. Still I ended up with 28 answers and I still wasn't out of added in 2013, so there was plenty of digital dust on these songs; some had never had a play since 2013. I then curated it to these songs, that I'm just grooving to as I write this blog.
And before we start listening to music, let's appreciate the cover art and pray I'll find all these old songs without a lot of need to upload audio videos.

This 2004 song was last fished in 2020.

My Aussie MySpace friend who died way to early,
I wonder if her spirit is still wandering
and looking for Luckenback
since recording it in 2006.

13) Let's Talk Dirty in Hawaiian by
John Prine
This cool song was a co-write with Fred Koller,
so we went from drinking a lot
to basically understated sex.
I forgot how great the studio version of this song is
with the great background vocals or should call them
melodic grunts.
For John, you get a studio an a live cut;
which is more what I'm used to because I covered it many a time with Rose River and Lucky Dog.
This is how I remember hearing the song for the first time when he played
Riverfest in LaCrosse ages ago.
14) Clean Up (Before I Change My Mind) by
Beth Wood
Of course this might be a continuation of the theme,
but clean up first.
Yes Beth and David are returning
to the Bluff View in May 2026.
15) Chase the Feeling by
