DBT #396 Monday Morning Song - Dirtbag Saloon
Yes of course when Emily Scott Robinson released a pre-order Oh Boy Records vinyl I bought it in Bandcamp. She is a pretty special songwriter and this post will make her 18th appearance in the blog.
Two of the songs have been released, I know that's the common tease; but all I needed to hear was she was putting out an album. Today's story has such a great title, I know it will be a long term favorite, "Dirtbag Saloon" Let's have Emily explain it in about 30 seconds. I have no idea why it's in here double... embedding from IG has some pretty strange code.
Hillbilly anti-gentrification ... "If it ain't gone, it's going soon"... dang I wish I could write like that.
The mix of the two songs released are absolutely listening room quality of a four piece string band with no drum set, and the patience to just let the story take front stage. Yes, it's my favorite kind of music.
Yes there is a lyric video out there, but you know me....a live stripped down acoustic video is always my choice if the audio is good quality. Hey they do videos pretty good in the Netherlands.
